Report: Manchester United to make move for Thiago Alcantara

Manchester United boss David Moyes has set his sights on Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara, according to a report.

United have a long-standing interest in the 22-year-old as former manager Sir Alex Ferguson made enquiries earlier in the season.

Moyes is expected to make the Alcantara is first signing in his new role at Old Trafford for a fee in the region of £15m, according to Goal.com.

Manchester City are also reported to have an interest in the midfielder, who played for the Catalan side 29 times last season.
