Report: Manchester United monitor Jose Gimenez

Atletico Madrid's Jose Gimenez is being monitored by Louis van Gaal as Manchester United consider a summer move for the young defender, according to reports.

The 20-year-old has established himself in Diego Simeone's side this season and has won praise for a series of assured performances.

With Van Gaal reportedly keen to bolster his defensive options over the summer, Gimenez is thought to have caught the eye of the Red Devils boss, claims Tuttomercatoweb.
