A report claims that Alexis Sanchez is set to stay at Old Trafford for another season as Manchester United cannot find a club able to pay his £500,000-a-week wages.

Manchester United reportedly fear being left with Alexis Sanchez for another season as they cannot find a club able to afford him.

The Red Devils are believed to be looking to sell the Chile international, who scored just twice in 27 matches last season.

Sanchez earns £500,000 a week at Old Trafford and that is proving problematic in the club's attempts to offload him.

According to The Express, even cash-rich Chinese Super League teams are baulking at the £25m a year in wages it will cost to sign the Chile international.

The report indicates that Sanchez is expected to be part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's pre-season tour of the Far East once he returns from Copa America duty.

Sanchez has scored twice for Chile so far in their two matches and is back in action against Uruguay on Tuesday.
