Report: Everton join the race for Tom Cleverley

Everton are reportedly in talks with Tom Cleverley over a potential move to Goodison Park this summer.

The centre-midfielder is out of contract at Manchester United and has been told that he will not be offered a new deal after spending the season on loan at Aston Villa.

Villa are also reported to be keen on a permanent deal for the 25-year-old, but the Daily Mail claims that Everton have now started discussions with the player.

Cleverley scored three times for Villa in 38 appearances this season.
