Real Madrid 'to axe Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez this summer'

Real Madrid want to sell both Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to sell both Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez this summer.

Rodriguez, who has struggled to command a starting spot this season having returned from a loan spell at Bayern Munich, continues to be strongly linked with a move to the Premier League.

Everton, Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal have all been credited with an interest in the Colombia international ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

According to Marca, the attacker will be available for transfer this summer, while Bale, who has also been linked with a return to the Premier League, is also expected to be offloaded.

The Wales international has only scored three times in 18 appearances for Los Blancos this term.

Bale was expected to leave the Bernabeu last summer and was strongly linked with a move to the Chinese Super League before ultimately remaining in the Spanish capital.
