Real Madrid eyeing Memphis Depay?

Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on Manchester United winger Memphis Depay and considering offering the Dutchman a way out of the Premier League.

Louis van Gaal signed the 21-year-old from PSV Eindhoven in the summer transfer window for a fee thought to be around £30m after he finished as Eredivisie top scorer with 22 goals from 30 games last season.

However, Depay has scored just three goals in 20 appearances in all competitions so far in his first season at Old Trafford and has found himself increasingly used only as a substitute in recent weeks.

He has also been dropped from Danny Blind's Netherlands squad for the upcoming international friendlies after the Dutch boss questioned his teamwork.

However, according to Don Balon, Real Madrid owner Florentino Perez is keeping tabs on the winger with question marks over the future of Cristiano Ronaldo at the club.

The report adds that United would be likely to demand around £64m for the player's signature after tying him to a four-year contract earlier this year.
