Napoli have reportedly been presented with the chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer by the player's agent Jorge Mendes.
Ronaldo has expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford in the current transfer window in a bid to play Champions League football in the 2022-23 season.
The Portugal international - who has been linked with the likes of Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon - also missed United's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia due to a family issue.
With Ronaldo reportedly still keen to depart United, his agent Mendes has been busy speaking to potential suitors about a move.
According to The Sun, Mendes has offered Napoli the chance to sign the striker, with the Italian club said to be interested in the transfer.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has a positive relationship with Mendes, which could help facilitate a move, while the Serie A side have funds available after missing out on Paulo Dybala who has joined Roma this summer.
With no transfer yet agreed, Ronaldo could feature in one of United's two friendlies this weekend against either Atletico Madrid or Rayo Vallecano.
