Napoli will reportedly be forced to lower their £89m asking price for in-demand centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, who could now be available for as little as £62m.

Napoli will reportedly be forced to lower their asking price for in-demand centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Serie A outfit when the transfer window reopens, with a number of Premier League clubs understood to be particularly interested in his signature.

Manchester United, Everton, Newcastle United and Liverpool are among the clubs monitoring the situation, but Gazzetta dello Sport claims that none of the interested parties are willing to meet Napoli's price tag.

The Partenopei had been hoping to hold out for both a club-record sale and a world-record fee for a defender, which would see Koulibaly cost more than £80m.

However, they will now reportedly be forced to lower their demands, with Koulibaly now likely to be available for between £62m and £72m.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in the Senegal international, who has made 21 appearances across all competitions this season.
