Manchester United's David Moyes reiterates Wayne Rooney stance

Moyes reiterates Rooney stance

Manchester United manager David Moyes has reiterated that striker Wayne Rooney will not leave the club this summer.

A week ago during his first press conference as United manager, Moyes said that Rooney was not for sale and his stance did not change during the latest press meeting in Malaysia.

"Unless I was speaking double Dutch I think we said Wayne Rooney is not for sale," BBC Sport quotes Moyes as saying.

"It's hard to keep repeating myself. But I will do. Wayne is a Manchester United player and will remain that."

Rooney has been sent home from United's pre-season tour because of an injury.
