Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: 'Manchester United interest is finished'

Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic suggests that he will not be thinking about a potential move to Manchester United during the first half of the season.

Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has said that any talk linking him with a move to Manchester United is now "finished".

Despite being tipped to sign for a bigger club during the summer transfer window, Milinkovic-Savic has remained at Lazio for at least the first half of the season.

While more speculation could arise at the start of 2020, Milinkovic-Savic has suggested that he is now only focused on life at the Italian outfit.

The 24-year-old told Espreso: "The Premier League transfer window is shut, so the Manchester United story is finished. I wasn't irritated by everything that was written in the papers, because my mind was concentrated on preparing for the new season in the best possible way.

"I am where I am and I want for nothing at Lazio. I don't think much about the transfer market. All sorts of things were written about me, but I know where my mind is and who I have a contract with."

The Serbia international still has four years remaining on his deal at Stadio Olimpico.
