Bernard Mensah confirms Manchester United interest

Vitoria de Guimaraes midfielder Bernard Mensah has revealed that talks over a move to Manchester United this summer are already underway.

The 20-year-old is said to have caught the eye of an array of European football's biggest clubs thanks to his form this campaign, in what is his first full season for the Portuguese outfit.

Mensah linked up with world-renowned super-agent Jorge Mendes earlier this week, and the Ghanaian could now be on his way to Old Trafford.

"It is true that Manchester United want me," he told Allsports. "I have not spoken with anyone at Manchester United but I know that there are negotiations with my club."

Mensah has scored one goal in 20 appearances for Guimaraes this campaign.
