Manchester United have reportedly told Ronald Araujo that they are prepared to double his wages in order to secure his signature during this summer's transfer window.
The Uruguay international's contract at Barcelona is due to expire in June 2023, and the Catalan giants are struggling to come to an agreement with the defender over an extension.
Barcelona have reportedly made one final contract proposal to the South American and are not prepared to raise their offer, which is believed to be in the region of £3.3m a year.
However, according to ABC, Man United have told the defender that they will pay him double that amount to move to Old Trafford in the upcoming market.
Chelsea and Liverpool are also said to be keeping a close eye on the situation, with the duo also keen to bring him to the Premier League ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
The 23-year-old has been a key player for Xavi's side during the current season, making 33 appearances in all competitions, contributing four goals in the process.
Araujo is believed to be keen to remain at Barcelona but is not prepared to accept the terms currently on the table.
