Man Utd want Vidal medical before fee?

Manchester United are reportedly keen to put Arturo Vidal through a medical before discussing a price with Juventus.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the midfielder, but recent reports have claimed that manager Louis van Gaal is holding up the deal due to the 27-year-old's recent knee injury.

The Chile international rushed to be fit for the World Cup in Brazil after undergoing surgery in May to repair a cartilage problem in his knee.

According to the Daily Star, a five-year United contract worth £182,000 per week is already in place for Vidal and Juve officials are believed to be willing to allow the Red Devils to carry out medical tests before agreeing a fee for the midfielder.

In regular transfers, a fee would need to be sorted out before a player can undergo a medical, but reports have claimed that Vidal will travel to the North-West before the end of the week.
