Manchester United reportedly identify Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek as a direct replacement for Paul Pogba ahead of the next transfer window.

Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek reportedly remains on the radar of Manchester United ahead of the next transfer window.

At a time when the Premier League giants are said to be considering the sale of Paul Pogba, speculation naturally persists over a potential replacement.

According to reports in Spain, United are ready to move for Van de Beek, who is expected to depart Ajax before the beginning of the next campaign.

Before the Eredivisie was declared null and void last month, the 23-year-old had contributed eight goals and five assists from 23 appearances.

Although Real Madrid have also been linked with the Netherlands international, it remains unclear whether Los Blancos will be able to fund a move for the playmaker.

Van de Beek has just over two years remaining on his contract with Ajax.
