Report: Manchester United pursuing Galatasaray defender Semih Kaya

Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Galatasaray defender Semih Kaya, according to reports.

The Red Devils, said to be searching for reinforcements at the back, have allegedly been told by Valencia that they will not accept less than £35m for centre-back Nicolas Otamendi.

As a result, The Express claims that Louis van Gaal is eyeing more cost-effective replacements, with £5.5m-valued 24-year-old Kaya in his sights.

Inter Milan are also thought to be keen on the Turkey international, with Roberto Mancini having worked with him during a brief stint in charge of Galatasaray last year.
