Manchester United to make summer move for Gareth Bale?

Gareth Bale emerges as a potential transfer target for Manchester United, according to reports.

Louis val Gaal is considering an approach for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale this summer, according to reports.

Manchester United, who have long been linked with a move for former Red Devil Cristiano Ronaldo, are understood to be considering Bale as an alternative if the Portuguese winger can't be convinced to return, reports the Daily Star.

Despite helping Real Madrid to Champions League glory last season, Bale's position is rumoured to be under threat as boss Carlo Ancelotti is frustrated with the Welsh star's unwillingness to contribute defensively.

The situation has alerted Manchester United, who failed in a bid to lure Bale from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.
