Manchester United are reportedly continuing to monitoring the development of Lyon forward Moussa Dembele ahead of a potential move in January.

Manchester United reportedly had scouts present to watch Lyon forward Moussa Dembele against Saint-Etienne at the weekend.

With the Premier League giants having failed to replace either Alexis Sanchez or Romelu Lukaku in the summer, there is a desire to bring in a new frontman at the beginning of 2020.

While Juventus attacker Mario Mandzukic appears to be a likely addition at this stage, United seemingly still have their eyes on another signing in the final third.

According to the Daily Mail, the English side had representatives in the crowd as Lyon succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Saint-Etienne on Sunday night.

However, despite having already scored six times this season, Dembele was only introduced as a 59th-minute substitute.

The Frenchman has netted 26 goals from 52 appearances in all competitions since leaving Celtic in August 2018.
