Manchester United 'one of four clubs in for Raphael Varane'

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for as many as four clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Varane is currently in his eighth campaign at the Bernabeu, but it has been suggested that the 25-year-old may be ready to take on a new challenge.

Manchester United have been strongly linked with the France international, but according to Sport, the Premier League side face competition from a number of their European rivals.

The report claims that Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich are all monitoring the situation ahead of potentially making a move at the end of the season.

Varane - who still has over three years remaining on his contract - has played down speculation regarding a possible departure from Real.
