Report: Manchester United interested in Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez

Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez, according to reports.

The Spaniard, a £1.5m signing by the Magpies from Tenerife, has scored one goal for his side this season and seven overall since his move in June 2014.

According to the Newcastle Chronicle, the Red Devils have sent scouts to St James' Park on a number of occasions in a bid to get more information on the 22-year-old.

Perez is also said to have been on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.
