Manchester United 'identify Ousmane Dembele as Jadon Sancho alternative'

Manchester United have reportedly identified Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele as a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho.

Since the turn of the year, United have been frequently linked with the Borussia Dortmund star, who is allegedly valued at £100m.

However, while it has been suggested that United are prepared to bid in excess of £50m, it remains unclear whether club officials are prepared to meet Dortmund's asking price due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to The Athletic, Dembele has emerged as a different option for United after failing to make a sustained impact at Camp Nou.

Having made just 49 starts in all competitions since 2017, the former £96.8m star could be available for approximately half that price this summer.

The France international has not made an appearance for the Catalan outfit since November due to injury.
