Manchester United 'frontrunners for Denis Zakaria'

Manchester United allegedly emerge as the frontrunners to sign Borussia Monchengladbach and Switzerland midfielder Denis Zakaria.

Manchester United are reportedly regarded as the favourites to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.

With the January addition of Bruno Fernandes, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a wide range of options in the centre of the pitch.

However, according to Sky Sports Germany, United are contemplating whether to launch an approach for Switzerland international Zakaria.

Since moving to the club in 2017, the 23-year-old has helped Monchengladbach emerge as contenders for the top four in the Bundesliga table.

Although Monchengladbach wish to keep Zakaria in Germany, it is suggested that United will be the favourites to secure his signature should a bidding war commence in the summer.

Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are all said to be monitoring the situation.
