Esteemed British journalist Duncan Castles claims that Manchester United have agreed terms with Juventus full-back Alex Sandro ahead of a prospective move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have reportedly agreed terms with Juventus full-back Alex Sandro ahead of a prospective move to Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old has arguably developed into one of world football's finest left-backs since his move to Turin from Porto in 2015.

As a result, the Red Devils have been linked with Sandro for a number of months amid rumours of Jose Mourinho planning an overhaul of his defence.

A number of conflicting reports have been in circulation in the past few weeks, with some suggesting that Sandro was now off United's wishlist.

However, esteemed British journalist Duncan Castles has claimed that terms have been agreed between the Premier League giants and the Brazil international.

"Juventus don't actively want to sell Alex Sandro but they are prepared to sell the player because they see the price is so high that they can cash in," Castles told the Transfer Window podcast.

"Manchester United have agreed personal terms in advance with Alex Sandro, he's not particularly well paid at Juventus so it's been easy to say 'we'll double your salary if you come to us' and push for the move.

"On top of United's interest they now have interest from Paris Saint-Germain, because they are also desperate for a top-quality left-back."

Sandro, who has made 114 appearances for the Bianconeri, is contracted to the club until 2020.
