Manchester United want to sign both Sevilla's Jules Kounde and Real Madrid's Raphael Varane, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly lining up a move for Sevilla's Jules Kounde, with the Red Devils looking to sign two new centre-backs during this summer's transfer window.

The club are said to be closing in on a deal for Real Madrid's Raphael Varane, who has seemingly been earmarked by the 20-time English champions as the ideal partner for captain Harry Maguire.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Man United are also preparing a move for Kounde, as head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to further bolster his defence ahead of the new season.

The report claims that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid are also all interested, but the Red Devils are preparing to launch an offer for his services.

The 22-year-old, who made one appearance for France at Euro 2020, impressed for Sevilla during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring four times in 49 outings in all competitions.

Kounde still has three years left to run on his contract at Estadio Ramon, though, meaning that his La Liga club would be in a strong position to demand a high transfer fee during any potential discussions.
