Man United 'still lead Kamara race despite Roma interest'

Manchester United are reportedly still leading the race for Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara.

The 22-year-old's contract with his French club is due to expire in June, meaning that he is currently free to discuss terms with foreign teams, and Man United have been strongly linked with his services.

Kamara has made 142 appearances for Les Olympiens since debuting in 2016, including 20 outings in all competitions during the 2021-22 campaign.

According to La Repubblica, Roma have joined the hunt for the midfielder, but the Italian side are behind Man United in the pecking order when it comes to a possible deal.

The report claims that Kamara 'knows perfectly well' that he would receive a 'higher salary' if he were to join the 20-time English champions over Jose Mourinho's side this summer.

Barcelona, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United and Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest in the Frenchman, who has seemingly made up his mind to seek pastures new at the end of the season.
