Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot over a potential summer transfer.
Rabiot's contract in Turin expires at the end of the season, and United are known admirers of his having been in for the Frenchman last summer.
The 20-time champions of England are understood to have even had a bid accepted by Juventus last summer, only for Rabiot's agent, who is his mother, to pull the plug on the deal.
However, Nicolo Schira claims that the Red Devils are in talks with Rabiot's mother again to strike a deal with the 28-year-old.
It has been a successful season for Rabiot individually, scoring a career-high 11 goals this campaign for the Old Lady, who have endured a difficult time due to off-the-field matters which resulted in a 10-point penalty being imposed last week.
The Italian giants had earlier in the season been hit by a 15-point deduction which was later overturned, only for a new hearing to dock them 10 points over previous transfer dealings, costing them a place in the Champions League next season.
Rabiot's form for his club amidst that has maintained his place in the French squad, and the midfielder made six appearances for Les Bleus on their run to the World Cup final in Qatar last year.
