Man United 'make a firm offer for Barcelona teenager'

Manchester United are reportedly keen to sign Barcelona teenager Ilaix Moriba.

The 18-year-old has made four first-team appearances for the Catalan giants during the 2020-21 campaign, including an outing during Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final second leg with Sevilla at Camp Nou.

Moriba has also featured twice in La Liga this term, but the midfielder's long-term future with Ronald Koeman's side is unclear as his current deal expires in June 2022.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Man United have made a 'firm offer' for the youngster as they attempt to bring him to the Premier League.

The report, though, claims that the 20-time English champions will face competition from RB Leipzig, while Barca are also still hopeful of committing him to a new contract.

Moriba, who has been with his current side since 2010, was born in Guinea but has represented Spain at Under-17s and Under-18s level.
