Manchester United 'holding firm on Romelu Lukaku price'

Man United 'holding firm on Lukaku price'

Manchester United will not accept anything less than £80m from Inter Milan for striker Romelu Lukaku, according to a report.

The 26-year-old's future remains uncertain following his return to pre-season training on Monday.

Lukaku recently hinted that he is eager to move to Serie A and Inter are known to have showed an interest in the Belgium international.

However, it has become apparent that Antonio Conte's side cannot afford the former Chelsea and Everton ace in a straight cash deal.

Inter have tried to arrange a part-exchange transfer, as well as discussing a possible loan, but the Evening Standard claims that United are after a permanent transfer and want the money upfront.

The report also indicates that Lukaku is still unsure whether he will be part of the Red Devils' tour of Australia next week.
