Centre-back Toby Alderweireld admits that he is unsure whether he will still be at Tottenham Hotspur next season.

Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Toby Alderweireld has admitted that he is unsure whether he will still be with his current club beyond the end of this summer's transfer window.

Alderweireld has a contract with Spurs until the end of the 2019-2020 campaign, but a £26m release clause comes into effect this summer and Manchester United have been strongly linked with a swoop.

The 30-year-old, speaking on international duty, has said that he is "very happy" at his London club, but has insisted that he is not looking beyond the end of the current campaign.

"There's a lot to play for this season. And in the end I have a year contract left at Spurs, so I don't look further than this season. Other things I don't know. I am very happy at Spurs, so we will see what the future brings," Alderweireld told Sky Sports News.

"I still feel very fit. I think I played a lot of minutes this season so I showed that I am fit - I don't feel 30, I feel younger. So as I said, I am very happy and I just try to watch game-by-game. This season there is a lot to play for so I will give my best for that."

Alderweireld has made 147 appearances for Tottenham since a 2015 move from Atletico Madrid.
