Manchester United striker Federico Macheda says that teammates Dimitar Berbatov and Paul Pogba would thrive in Serie A.

Manchester United striker Federico Macheda believes that teammates Dimitar Berbatov and Paul Pogba would be big hits in Italian football.

Berbatov and Pogba have both been linked with moves away from Old Trafford at the end of the season, and Macheda, currently on loan at Queens Park Rangers, has claimed that the duo would thrive in Serie A.

"Berbatov is a great player, and certainly could do very well for the Bianconeri. I think he would fit in well in Serie A. Berbatov could do very well in Italy because he's a great champion... Pogba is a great player. Paul is really strong and could do very well in Italy," the 20-year-old told Tutto Juve.

Macheda spent last season on loan at Sampdoria.
