Lucas Moura: 'Tottenham Hotspur would struggle to replace Harry Kane'

Lucas Moura concedes that Tottenham Hotspur would struggle to replace Harry Kane if the England captain left the club.

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Lucas Moura has conceded that his team would struggle to replace Harry Kane if the England captain departed the club during this summer's transfer window.

Kane recently hinted that he could look to leave Jose Mourinho's side in the near future, and Manchester United have been strongly linked with a potential summer move.

Lucas has played alongside the 26-year-old since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018, and the Brazilian is desperate for his teammate to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

"It's hard to speak about the future, about a negotiation because it's a personal decision. I'm sure that every season Tottenham receive offers for Harry Kane," Sky Sports News quotes Lucas as saying.

"It's not me who has to decide, but of course I want to play with him in the next season. I want to stay with him because he's very important for us and it's not easy to find a player like him. Everyone knows he's a big player.

"He's very important for us, he's our striker and scores almost every game. I'm sure that Mourinho wants to keep him. He counts on him for the rest of the season as well as for the next one."

Kane scored 17 times in 25 outings for Spurs earlier this season before picking up a hamstring problem.
