Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal eyes up to two more signings

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal reveals that he is considering signing two more players before the end of the transfer window.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has revealed that he wants to sign up to two more players this summer.

The Red Devils have boosted their squad ahead of the new season by bringing in five new faces to Old Trafford.

Established internationals Memphis Depay, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sergio Romero are among the quintet to have joined United in recent weeks.

Van Gaal claimed earlier this summer that he was looking to add two more players to his squad before the end of the transfer window.

When asked if this was still the case, the Dutch coach told MUTV: "Yes, because I have said that we need players with speed and creativity – [Angel] Di Maria is a player like that and now he is gone, so we need that type of player.

"Of course we have problems still with the goalkeeper, so we need maybe two more players."

United get the new Premier League season underway tomorrow when they entertain Tottenham Hotspur.
