Liverpool are reportedly contemplating a move for Ajax defender Devyne Rensch.
Having endured one of their poorest campaigns for a number of seasons, it is anticipated that Liverpool will make widespread changes in the summer.
As well as apologising for the club's 2022-23, Jurgen Klopp has already acknowledged that he will look to strengthen in various areas of the pitch.
Given the number of likely midfield departures, it has been widely speculated that at least one high-profile player will arrive for the centre.
However, as again shown during their 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Sunday, Liverpool also require a refresh in defence, on the right and in the centre more so than the left.

According to Give Me Sport the Merseyside giants are giving consideration to trying to win the race for Rensch.
The 20-year-old has developed into a first-team regular at the Dutch giants, making a total of 28 appearances in Eredivisie and European matches this season.
Rensch has mainly been used as a right-back, but he is capable of being deployed in the centre or left, his versatility viewed as a potential asset.
Such a role is currently held by Joe Gomez, yet the England international could be sold in the summer if Liverpool receive a suitable bid.

The one-cap Netherlands international has a contract at Ajax until 2025, but the club may be open to a sale if they deem that any admirers have put forward a proposal which matches their valuation.
Nevertheless, it is claimed that Manchester United are also keen on Rensch at a time when they are known to be in the market for a new right-back.
Head coach Erik ten Hag is no stranger to Rensch having handed him his senior debut during his time with Ajax, the youngster making 24 outings in the league and Champions League last season.
Should it become clear that Rensch is available for a certain price, a bidding war could ensue with other European clubs expected to hold a level of interest in the player.
