Manchester United and Liverpool are poised to battle it out for the signature of Bayer Leverkusen's Christoph Kramer, according to reports.
The 23-year-old Germany international, who is currently halfway through a two-year loan deal with Borussia Monchengladbach, will become a free agent next summer when his contract at Bayer Leverkusen expires.
However, The Metro claims that any Premier League suitors will face competition from Monchengladbach for the midfielder, with the Bundesliga side reported to be ready to launch a £12m bid for their loanee in January.
Kramer featured in the World Cup final as a replacement for Sami Khedira, but was withdrawn after just 19 minutes when he suffered a head injury in a clash with Argentina's Ezequiel Garay.
