Aymeric Laporte "focused" on Athletic Bilbao

Aymeric Laporte has insisted that he is "focused entirely" on Athletic Bilbao despite constant speculation surrounding his future.

The 20-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best young centre-backs in European football, with Manchester United said to lead the race for the French-born defender.

Laporte is expected to leave San Mames this summer, but for now, his focus is purely on matters at Bilbao.

"It's not something I really pay attention to. I'm focused entirely on what I'm doing here, on myself and my work, which is playing with Athletic," Inside Spanish Football has quoted Laporte as saying.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are also long-standing admirers.
