Juventus director: 'No signs Cristiano Ronaldo could leave'

Juventus director of football Federico Cherubini has dismissed suggestions that Cristiano Ronaldo could leave the Italian giants during this summer's transfer window.

The 36-year-old scored 36 goals in 44 appearances for the Old Lady last season, while he found the back of the net on five occasions at Euro 2020 before Portugal's exit in the round of 16.

Ronaldo has a contract in Turin until next June, but there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future, with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain thought to be keen on his signature.

Cherubini, though, has said that the former Sporting Lisbon youngster will return to the club for pre-season training, and there are 'no signs' that he will be on the move in the current market.

"There has been no sign from Ronaldo about a possible move, and no sign from Juve. We are very happy that Ronaldo will rejoin the team once the rest period after the European Championship is over," Cherubini told reporters.

The Portuguese has scored 101 goals and registered 22 assists in 133 appearances for Juventus since joining the club in a big-money move from Real Madrid in July 2018.
