Manchester United defender Jonny Evans on verge of joining Everton?

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is reportedly on the verge of an £8m move to Everton.

The 27-year-old has one year left on his contract at Old Trafford and has not been offered new terms.

Evans has made nearly 200 senior appearances for United since 2007.

However, the Northern Ireland international could be an Everton player by the end of the week, according to The Telegraph.

Evans played 18 times in all competitions for Louis van Gaal's side last season.
