Inter chief 'denies Eriksen contact'

Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has played down talk of a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.

With less than six months left on his contract, it appears increasingly likely that Eriksen will leave the Premier League outfit on a free transfer during the summer.

Inter have been linked with the Denmark international in recent days as they consider their options in the transfer market.

However, despite talk of a potential deal, Marotta has insisted that they have not held discussions with the playmaker.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Marotta said: "Eriksen? It's not a done deal and we're not in contact with Tottenham.

"He's a fantastic player and there here are many clubs in talks to sign Eriksen because he'll be a free agent. I can just say he's a interesting player."

Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus have all been linked with the 27-year-old in recent months.
