Sir Alex Ferguson searching for new goalkeeper?

Fergie searching for new keeper?

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly growing tired of his inconsistent goalkeepers and is actively seeking an alternative in the transfer window.

David de Gea has edged Anders Lindegaard in terms of Premier League starts so far this season, but Ferguson is not happy with either player's displays and has asked for the funds to strengthen, according to The Mirror.

Fergie is believed to be wary of teams continuing to target De Gea from set pieces and wants to sign a keeper eligible to play in the Champions League this season.

Despite topping the Premier League table by seven points United have struggled to keep clean sheets this season.

Stoke City stopper Asmir Begovic has enjoyed an impressive season and is thought to have caught the eye of United scouts with his assured presence in the penalty area.
