Dortmund 'beat Man United to Bellingham deal'

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly beaten Manchester United to the signature of Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham.

United were strongly linked with a move for the 16-year-old in January but were unable to come to an agreement with his Championship club.

The Red Devils continue to be credited with an interest in the England Under-17 international, who has scored four times in 31 Championship appearances this season.

However, according to Bild, Dortmund have 'won the race' to sign the midfielder, with the Bundesliga giants set to pay Birmingham €35m (£30.6m) to complete a deal.

Liverpool and Chelsea are also thought to be admirers of the teenager, who will see his current deal at St Andrew's expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

Dortmund famously signed fellow English youngster Jadon Sancho from Manchester City in the summer of 2017.
