Dinamo Zagreb's sporting director says that the club has not had "any contact" with Manchester United over Mateo Kovacic.
Dinamo Zagreb have stated that they have had no contact from Manchester United over the possible signing of Mateo Kovacic.
Despite reports claiming that the Premier League champions were frontrunners to land the Croatian midfielder, Dinamo's sporting director Zoran Mamic suggests otherwise.
"We cannot hide the fact that that many clubs are following Mateo Kovacic," Sky Sports News quotes Mamic as saying.
"You should ask [United] if they are interested in Kovacic. We didn't have any contact with Manchester or Sir Alex Ferguson or talks on that subject, nor have we received any kind of offer from them."
The 17-year-old has also reportedly been on the radar of Premier League outfit Arsenal.
