Angel di Maria 'to fly to UK today to hold talks with Manchester United'

Manchester United are reportedly planning to hold talks with Angel di Maria today ahead of a British record transfer from Real Madrid.

The Argentina international has been looking for a way out of the Bernabeu this summer following the arrival of World Cup star James Rodriguez.

Paris Saint-Germain were also believed to be interested in the player, but United are expected to seal his signature for a fee in the region of £60m in the coming days.

According to Sky Sports News, the 26-year-old will fly to the North-West city of Manchester today to discuss the move with United, who have picked up just one point out of a possible six in the Premier League so far this season.

The former English champions, who are under the leadership of manager Louis van Gaal, have signed midfielder Ander Herrera, left-back Luke Shaw and defender Marcos Rojo so far this summer.
