Chelsea may reportedly look to seize the initiative in the race to sign RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku.
The German club have already stated that the Frenchman will not be sold this summer, a consequence of a remarkable 31 goals and 14 assists coming in the Bundesliga and Europe this season.
However, the 24-year-old has suggested that he welcomes the interest in his signature, aware that the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United have emerged as admirers.
According to L'Equipe, Chelsea intend to try to steal a march on their Premier League rivals as they look to make changes in the final third.
Nkunku, who has just two years remaining on his contract, is allegedly valued in the region of £50m, a fee which the Blues and United would likely be willing to pay ahead of next season.
Chelsea are now in a position to be able to sign new players after their takeover was confirmed on Monday afternoon.
