Chelsea 'eye Dean Henderson as Kepa Arrizabalaga replacement'

Chelsea could attempt to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is reportedly being considered by Chelsea as a potential replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Henderson has spent each of the last two seasons on loan at Sheffield United and is yet to make a single first-team appearance for his parent club.

The 22-year-old has impressed for the Blades this term, keeping nine clean sheets in 26 appearances in all competitions, including eight shut-outs in the Premier League.

The Englishman is allegedly not interested in returning to United this summer, though, unless he is guaranteed to be the club's number one ahead of David de Gea next season.

According to ESPN, Chelsea are currently monitoring developments and could move for Henderson to replace Kepa between the sticks.

The 25-year-old became the world's most expensive goalkeeper when he joined the Blues from Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2018 for a figure in the region of £71m.

The Spain international has largely struggled to find consistency during his time at Stamford Bridge, though, and could reportedly be sold during this summer's transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, are also thought to be exploring the possibility of signing Henderson.
