Chelsea chasing Javier Hernandez?

Chelsea have looked into the possibility of a January transfer move for Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez, according to a report.

The Mexico international is on the radar of the struggling London club as they search for a goalscorer to add to their ranks, says The Mirror.

Hernandez has scored ten goals for the German outfit since leaving Manchester United in the summer, including four Champions League strikes.

First-choice Chelsea striker Diego Costa has only netted twice in the Premier League this season as Jose Mourinho's side find themselves in 16th position in the league table.

Loic Remy has yet to find the net in the league for the Blues this season, while Radamel Falcao has a solitary strike to his name.

Hernandez joined Leverkusen for a reported fee of £7.3m in the summer transfer window, following a season-long loan spell at Real Madrid.
