Michael Carrick joins list of Jose Mourinho supporters?

A report claims that Michael Carrick will reconsider his supposed decision to walk away from Manchester United if Jose Mourinho arrives at Old Trafford.

Michael Carrick is reportedly the latest player whose Manchester United future is dependent upon a change in management this summer.

It is believed that with his contract due to expire next month, Carrick has decided to call time on his decade-long stint at Old Trafford.

However, were Jose Mourinho to replace Louis van Gaal in the dugout - as has been reported - the 34-year-old would be prepared to reconsider, according to the Daily Star.

Of course, much would also ride on whether Mourinho saw the midfielder as part of his plans going forward.

Recent speculation claimed that Carrick's teammate David de Gea would also look to leave the club if Van Gaal remained in charge, while Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is said to only be interested in moving to the 20-time champions of England with Mourinho at the helm.

In the past, there have also been suggestions that United's Spanish duo of Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are disillusioned with life under Van Gaal's management.
