Boca Juniors have reportedly given up on their pursuit of Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani.
The 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season but the Red Devils have the option to extend his stay by another year.
It is suggested that Manchester United may look to sign a new striker this summer as the veteran approaches the end of his career, looking to younger options such as highly sought-after Erling Braut Haaland.
ESPN reports that Boca Juniors are no longer interested in signing Cavani as they expect his contract to be renewed for one more season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
The Argentine team are believed to have turned their attention to 26-year-old forward Roger Martinez, who has recorded 99 appearances for his current club CF America, scoring 23 goals.
Cavani has registered 12 goals and five assists in his 33 appearances for Manchester United this season.
