Bayern Munich are allegedly increasingly confident of eventually sealing a deal for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.

Bayern Munich reportedly intend to remain undeterred in their efforts to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.

The future of the England international has progressed into somewhat of a saga with there remaining no certainty over where he will play his football during 2023-24.

Kane is said to have no intention of penning fresh terms at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the foreseeable future, leaving Spurs at risk of losing their most prized asset on a free transfer.

Up until a few days ago, it was frequently claimed that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had no plans to cash in on the player and was prepared to see him depart for nothing.

However, a report has now indicated that Spurs owner Joe Lewis wants to sell Kane if he does not sign a new deal, effectively forcing Levy to rethink his stance.

For a number of weeks, Bayern Munich have made little progress in any discussions with Levy, the Bundesliga champions having two official bids - the second in the region of £68m - rejected for Kane's signature.

Nevertheless, there has been talk of a third offer being tabled in the coming days, one which may theoretically result in Levy having to consider somewhat of a compromise.

According to Sky Sports News, Bayern are growing optimistic that they will eventually make the breakthrough with their Spurs counterparts.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Deutschland adds that there is a desire of Bayern to hold face-to-face meetings with Levy as soon as possible.

Kane is currently playing a full part of Spurs' pre-season, with the all-time record goalscorer in line to feature against Singapore's Lion City Sailors on Wednesday.

Ahead of that fixture, head coach Ange Postecoglou has insisted that there had been no change to Kane's situation, with those comments coming days after acknowledging that the situation is less than ideal ahead of the new campaign.

Bayern's efforts to sign Kane may be boosted if they can cash in on Sadio Mane, with the Senegal international said to be on the verge of signing for Al-Nassr.

Although Manchester United have been admirers of Kane in the past, there is little indication that Spurs' reported change of stance will tempt them into action.
