Barcelona have reportedly identified Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick as a potential alternative to Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland.
The Catalan giants are thought to be firmly in the race to sign Haaland this summer despite their financial problems, with the Norway international set to be available for £67m due to a release clause.
However, a host of other clubs, including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Manchester City, are also battling to secure the centre-forward ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
According to Sport, Barcelona have put together a list of alternatives to Haaland and have identified Schick as a potential acquisition during this summer's transfer window.
The 26-year-old has been in impressive form for Leverkusen during the 2021-22 campaign, making 24 appearances in all competitions, contributing 20 goals and three assists in the process.
Schick, who still has more than three years left to run on his contract with his German side, has also previously been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United.
