Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang admits talks over "future"

Reported Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang admits to holding talks with Borussia Dortmund over his "future" at the club.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that he is in talks with Borussia Dortmund over his future at the Bundesliga side.

The 26-year-old has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal after a stellar season in which he scored 39 goals in 46 games in all competitions.

Last week Gabon manager Jorge Costa claimed that Aubameyang had asked to be excused from international duty as he was "in the process of changing clubs".

In an interview with German website Fussball Transfers, Aubameyang admitted that he is holding talks with the Dortmund hierarchy following the recent departures of Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan.

"I feel really good in Dortmund, I don't know what the future holds but I feel very comfortable," he said.

"I cancelled the international duty with Gabon. I had many meetings with the club management to talk about the future. It's strange to lose two key players. Especially since they were the backbone of the team. But I trust the club. There are many ways to find solutions and to make good transfers."

Asked about last season's performance, which saw Thomas Tuchel's side lose out on the title to arch rivals Bayern Munich, Aubameyang added: "Dortmund has to make good signings in order to challenge Munich to become league champions.

"I think it was a learning year under new coach. Apart from [losing out on the title] it was a good year and it will help us. We are still missing two big players to take another step forward."

Aubameyang moved to Dortmund under Jurgen Klopp in 2013 and has since gone on to score 54 times in 94 Bundesliga appearances.
