Bukayo Saka has reportedly not discussed a contract extension with Arsenal, despite having just over a year to run on his existing deal.

Arsenal have yet to open talks with fan favourite Bukayo Saka over a new contract, according to a report.

The 18-year-old has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough campaign at the Emirates Stadium, featuring in all but one of Mikel Arteta's games in charge.

Reports emerged earlier this week stating that Saka will be rewarded with a new deal by the Gunners, but football.london suggests that fresh terms are not close to being agreed.

Despite the versatile wideman being about to enter the final year of his existing contract, it is claimed that Arsenal are not currently in a position to discuss an extension.

That has allegedly put rival clubs on red alert, with Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Liverpool all possibly interested.

Saka, used predominantly in an unfamiliar left-back position this term, has 10 assists to his name in 2019-20.
